This pictures was taken from the Vatican’s museum in Roma At the bottom of the stairs of the Sistine ChapelTime
I took this shot on January 15th 2010 at 4h42 pm. I visited the Vatican’s museum with my family reunited for the first time for many yearsLighting
it was natural light that came directly from a skylight on the ceiling of the museumEquipment
I took this photo with a Sony Alpha 850 with a 16-35mm f2.8 Zeiss with no tripod because it’s strictly forbidden in this museumInspiration
I do love spiral staircase it reminds me the Fibonacci’s spiral The staircase is really famous but from the above and I really want to take this stairs from an other angle.Editing
I just crop the picture to have a real third rules effects and the simple lightning adjustments in LightroomIn my camera bag
The firs thing I pack in my bag is my Sony A7r5 and my Sony 50mm f1,4 lense, I have a SONY A7rII with a 85mm f1.8 and my old friend a 16-35mm f2.8 A ring with an lense adaptor. When I took this picture I used a Sony Alpha 850 and an Alpha 700 I always have with me a mini tripod and a reflectorFeedback
If I have an advice for taken this kind of picture is don’t forget to look up in the sky, so many point of view are great in this museum.
