My wife was running the Paris Marathon so as part of trip we visited the Eiffel Tower. This was a shot taken from the queue waiting to climb it.Time
The Eiffel Tower is busy all the time but it's less so first thing in the morning so we were up early to miss the crowds that was when this shot was takenLighting
You can see from the shadows that the sun is low and I think that's what gives the photo it's depth.Equipment
camera Canon EOS 5D Mark III settings Aperture 13?ISO 100?Shutter 1/50?Focal Length 24 mm?Inspiration
When I travel I'm always looking for interesting angles, view points that I've not seen before. Waiting in the queue to go up the tower I just looked up and saw this, and the leading lines of the iron work lent itself to a great photo.Editing
There's little post processing for this image just the black and white filter and some contrast to make it pop.In my camera bag
I try to have as little as possible as a heavy bag can make the whole experience unpleasant. Having said that I tend have a small travel tripod, a wide angle zoom, a telephoto zoom and some ND filters.Feedback
Look up! We spend most of our lives looking down or straight ahead. If you do this you don't know what you could be missing.
