Many special occasions happen at the Old Mill. Many celebrate anniversaries, engagements, beautiful weddings, graduations and birthdays or maybe just an evening out to eat with family and friends. No matter the occasion, the Old Mill in Westminster, Massachusetts does their best to be at their best. The Old Mill has a spectacular view year round and without a doubt, many enjoy the company of such beauty by taking photos or feeding the waterfowl bread that the Old Mill sets aside in a basket.
At the beginning history of the Old Mill, it was a sawmill where logs were processed for the building of homes in the neighborhood. As five generations of ownership, the industry fell in the 1800's into a state of disrepair. By the early to mid 1900's the sawmill became a tea room during the summer months but was forced to close in 1942 due to war restrictions. Ralph Foster, after his return from World War II as with his wife Ruth, purchased the Old Mill and decided to reopen it as a restaurant year round. They have prided themselves as being one of the oldest New England restaurants as well as their service in the finest foods for all to enjoy.
