The chipmunk also known as Tamias are known for being little housekeepers because they play the role of storing food for the winter. Chipmunks have a omnivorous diet of seeds, nuts and many other fruit buds. They also tend to eat grass, fungi, as well as other plant sources. They climb trees to retrieve nuts such as acorns and their little cheek pouches are able to be stuffed so that they may carry their food to their food storage for the winter.
