Waterfalls are where water will flow over a vertical drop or in some case a series of drops. Waterfalls, though beautiful can also freeze.
Waterfalls are usually formed in an upper course over a resistant bedrock where the erosion process happens more rapidly and as the watercourse will increase the velocity near the edge of the waterfall, it runs over. As the waterfall flows over the edge and into a lake, stream or river, a whirlpool of water occurs from the pressure of the water.
This particular waterfall is in Westminster, Massachusetts and though small has a drop off from a lake above the fall itself. The rushing water from the waterfall was loud but yet very pleasant to see the water crash over the rocks. The street lights beamed off the waterfall causing a show of elegance and a waterfall with glistening effects.
