Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken inside the Vidigal favela, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

Time

I took this picture a little after 13:00 in the afternoon.

Lighting

The light coming from an almost vertical direction, creates great effect to explore alleys. Very interesting to explore textures.

Equipment

In this case I just used a Canon 5D MK III , with lens Canon 24-70mm USM II F2.8.

Inspiration

Street photographs, people in routine situations ... and of course, I have a great passion for vertical photography, I really like the effect they cause.

Editing

The only adjustment was to rotate the photograph to a vertical position, thus causing a greater sense of perspective.

In my camera bag

I already had and tested several different devices from different brands . Today , I carry with me in my backpack , a Canon 5D MK III with Canon lenses , 8-15mm f4 , f2.8 16-35mm , 24-70mm USM II 2.8 and a 70-200mm USM II 2.8. Depending on the place , ND filters , tripod and whatever it takes to place

Feedback

I always say that one of the biggest secrets to shooting something interesting is to look around. Sometimes a big photo may be "hidden" behind us, below us ... You must always be alert to what is happening around you.
