Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Paris, from the top of the Eiffel tower, early evening in November. The main monument on the background is the Sacre Choeur Cathedral perched on the top of the hill of Montmartre, my favorite neighborhood in Paris. Montmartre is the artist quarter in Paris, where lot of famous artist have lived. Very bohemian life style in this neighborhood with lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants and artists rooming in the little cobble stoned streets of this charming neighborhood.Time
This was taken in the evening in one of those cold days in November where the sky is crisp and the sunset are very colorful.Lighting
Used a tele lens for this shot, which can be challenging in low light as those lens loose a bit of light.Equipment
I believe it was my Nikon D7000 with a 70-300m lens 2.4Inspiration
This is my favorite neighborhood in Paris and love this cathedral for its architecture, location and symbolic.Editing
Yes, worked a bit on contrast and light balance to correct the side effect of using a Zoom at 300mm.In my camera bag
I am a Nikon addict. My first camera was a Nikon F401 (film) and I have been faithful to Nikon since then. When traveling abroad, I carry about anything that could be of use in an impromptu situation. Therefore, at least 2 camera boxes (D7000 and full frame D750 and a light camera D3000 if I need to hike), a couple of lenses (18/70, 70/300, panoramic lens, Macro), flash, tripod, monopod, tons of memory and extra batteries/chargers, cleaning supply for lenses, flash drive, solar panel for charging batteries, flashlight, headlight, a harness to carry equipment along with the bag usually.Feedback
Patience is a key ; Photography is an art and with it, comes a lot and a lot more of practices, making mistakes after mistakes which teaches you the next step to get better ; I have been shooting since I am 12 years old and 40 years later, I am still learning, testing, innovating, doubt my work so I can find more way to improve. I know I have to learn more as I see the work of some talented photographers in this community and it motivates me to question my next step and try to improve. Photography is a work progress and a passion that make me get up every morning to see what else I can see, catch and share with others.
