When we were shooting the milky way this ball of fire slowly dropped from the sky. I had my shutter set at 30 seconds and it took at least 45 for it to go behind the mountains. Really neat, still have no idea what it was.

Location
I was taking some night photography of the Milky Way and just happened to turn around to get a shot of the light polution over the mountain. We were situated between Gold Beach Oregon and Brookings, Oregon. All of a sudden this fireball very slowly dropped from the sky.Time
This was taken at about 11:30pm to 12am roughly.Lighting
I was on a 30 second exposure to get as much light as possible so this fireball took that long to descend through the image. It was another 10 seconds after my shutter clicked before it was completely out of site.Equipment
Nikon D610, 14mm Rokinon 2.8 lens, Manfroto tripod.Inspiration
It was taken as pure happenstance, right place at the right time.Editing
i think i might have enhanced the exposure a tad with lightroom. In my camera bag
I usually have my Nikon D610 and a Sony a6000.Feedback
keep shooting, you never know what you are going to encounter!
