Flamingos are said to be sedentary. They hold the same pose for an extended period. I believe we were fortunate because, within 10-15 minutes, we could see them standing in a group...then marching in one row...and when we went to the other side, we saw them fly away.

Congrats Aarti you are my winner I love that one in the centre that seems to be not playing the game "Follow The leader", Lovely reflections as well and I also like that green landscape backdrop!

Thank you Adrian, more than the award, getting praise from someone like you is a great honor for me. As I have earlier expressed that I really take inspiration from your fascinating images. Once again thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. :)

Location
This photograph was taken at Bhigwan, Baramati District, Maharashtra, India. Bhigwan is very famous for migratory birds. We had been over there in November 2016. The event called Birding at Bhigwan was organised by The Western Routes, Pune.Time
This was taken in the evening just around the golden hours.Lighting
It was a beautiful day our guide Datta, was well aware about the requirements of a photographer. He arranged the boat in such a way to get maximum advantage of the golden light...before sunset.Equipment
We were on the boat, so tripod was out of question, sun was at it's best. so flash was also not needed. Birds were very far so I used 55 -300mm Nikon on my D5300. I wish I had super zoom lens.Inspiration
We visited Bhigwan specially for the Flamingos.Editing
Not much of post processing, basic raw adjustments and some more improvement using Nik collection. In my camera bag
D5300, 18-55, 55-300, 35mm prime, lens cleaning cloth, spare battery and a memory card. An apple and water bottle. :)Feedback
Nature is beautiful...no need to be intelligent. Just give a try. Do some experiments and Enjoy !! :)
