I've never seen a raptor with its widespread wings and its prey, so closely before.

A raptor, Eurasian Marsh Harrier, with its feast, a Glossy Ibis.
In this pic, the raptor is enjoying the kill.

We had booked a boat tour for flamingos watching at Bhigwan They are migratory birds here during winter in MH, India.
Our boat tour operator, Sagar, saw the raptor and diverted the boat, he insisted that we better get one good pic of a raptor in action than the flamingos which are usually in one position.
Such kills are rare in sight.

So, I feel, that waking up early and leaving for a far-off destination was worth it.
This was also clicked from the boat ride.
