This was taken at the beach at Kenmore , Loch Tay, in Highland Perthshire, Scotland. One mile from my home.Time
l am lucky enough to live next to this view. In the evening l just need to take a look out the front door and know something special is about to happen. Others have driven hundred of miles to this spot and unfortunately get nothing :(Lighting
It's all there in front of you, you just need to get your settings correct. Try not to over compensate for the background and leave the foreground almost black.The Grad filter helps a lot to get an even exposureEquipment

Nowadays the lens on my Nikon D500 is the Nikkor 500 pf l also pack the Tokina 11-16 dx for landscapes, my tripod is a Manfrotto 160 a simple enough setup My camera bag is an F-Stop Lokka the back pack is utterly brilliant bit of kit spreading the weight evenly across my 55 year old frame :)Feedback
Be patient, l am lucky enough to have this at my front door. Make the very most with what you have, you don't have to travel hundreds of miles to get the shot. If you look hard it's right there in front of you.
