This photo was taken on Thanksgiving at a friends house in Downey, Ca. We were outside with the dogs playing fetch.Time
We were outside at around 2pm after eating dinner and relaxing and playing with the dogs. I had just gotten my camera out to take pictures of family and friends and notice that the dogs were active and having fun.Lighting
The lighting was not the best as it was in the middle of the day. The light was not harsh as it can be in the middle of the day.Equipment
I was hand holding my Nikon 7200 with a Tamron 16 to 300 lens.Inspiration
I love taking pictures of animals in their natural environment. This dog was having a lot of fun chasing other dogs and toys thrown around the yard. I couldn't resist lying on the grass and having the dogs owner call the dog from directly behind me so that I could get the dog to run straight at me.Editing
I did my post processing in lightroom to adjust the exposure and contrast. I try and do very little processing as I like to keep the picture as close to real life as possibleIn my camera bag
I normally carry a NIkon 7200, Tamron 16/300, Tokina 11/16 f2.8 wide angle, Nikon 85 f1.8, and a Tamron 150/600.Feedback
When photographing animals in action I like to have my camera on continuous shutter and take a lot of pictures of the animal running around. I like to get at the level of the animal so that their eyes are level with the camera. There are times when patience will pay off. I will try and wait for long periods of time to capture the perfect picture. I never rush my shot as animals are unpredictable and I want to catch that perfect moment
