Dominates the landscape on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River in the Kootenay Plains area of Alberta. On the north side of the river opposite, is the Pine of Antiquity, world's oldest living Limber Pine tree.

The mountain was named after a director of the Youth For Christ movement, Louis Peskett.
He was killed by a falling rock on Mount Cline nearby.
