Big Lake is home to enormous Rainbow Trout, many over 20#, but very difficult to catch. They feed on an abundance of freshwater shrimp. Locals have told me that during winter ice-fishing, they require TWO 6-8" holes drilled side-by-side in order to bring the fish in!
