The general feeling is that cemeteries are scary. For starters this one is so old, it's called a burying ground. I stop and look on the rare occasions I go by this little corner of the world. The wind blows, the sun shines and I feel peaceful. Everyone here is resting peacefully under big trees and beautiful fall leaves, including this vet. His monument is so old, the head stone has been reinforced. The round brass plaque simply say 'US War Veteran'. The letter on the monument are faded by rain and freezing. Hopefully somewhere someone still has a memory of this man that is not so faded.
