Good strong composition for this photography, the bar creates a leading line from the right corner towards the boat. All the lines also nicely lead the eye to the main subect. The bridge nicely fades on the upper right.

Location
This photo was taken in the wonderful city of Porto, Portugal.Time
Since I stayed over night because of a photo tour on the previous day, I decided to wake up early in the morning and try to take some shots. I got an amazing mood with the fog covering most of the other side of the Douro river.Lighting
Lighting is very important, and when fog is present, I believe that is always a good idea to wait for the best moment and take some shots during that time.Equipment
I used a Canon MK II with a Canon 16-35 f2.8L II lens, tripod, and some filters.Inspiration
This city is inspiring by itself. The fog and the soft light of the morning made it possible to achieve this result.Editing
I usually do my post-processing in LR, making some adjustments to white balance, highlights, shadows and contrast. In my camera bag
When shooting in Porto or Lisbon, I like to have my 50mm f/1.4, my 16-35 and my 70-200 lens. These 3 lenses keeps me covered :)Feedback
Sure! Wake up before the sunrise, and try to be 1h before in location to check for the best position. Yes you can go the day before, but the light, and conditions won't be the same. Shoot from different angles, and try different approaches for the same place, so that you don't regret later. Have fun!
