It looks a bit unpromising as I ascended Lingmoor Fell in darkness. The clouds had swept over, but when the sun rose it started to break through the clouds, causing stunning crepuscular rays to illuminate Windermere. I sat by this weather beaten tree for a good 40 minutes just admiring the beauty of it all.
