I walked out of Save-a-lot with my family and this little guy was just hanging out on the yellow cement post by the car. My husband and kids put the food in the car as I went into a trance, and started snapping pictures. Lol when I have my camera in hand I become braver (especially with heights) and I block out everything around me, while at the same time knowing exactly what is going on around me.Time
I took this photo in the evening around 6ish-7ish PM Mid Summer.Lighting
This is the year that I noticed the new clouds. The ones that look like a rainbow of scales... I remember this because it was an hour or so before the sun sets enough for them to become rainbow colored.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel T5 with my kit lens. I can't remember if it was my 18-55 mm or my 75-300. I believe it was the first as I get my best up close shots with it. But it's been a while since I took the picture.Inspiration
She was just sitting there asking to be photographed. I couldn't let her dreams of being a model ruined and she was just so pretty! LolEditing
All I did was crop and resize it... From a MUCH larger photo. I cropped it down so far I was positive it was going to be grainy. It soooooo wasn't and I was soooooo very excited. This is the clearest photo I have ever (even to this day) taken. In my camera bag
I carry my Camera, lenses, charger, car charger, and computer cable, as well as anything else I may need. I made my camera bag a my purse too. Less I have to carry around and you can't go anywhere without your camera because if you do, that perfect shot will present itself. Gotta be ready at all times!Feedback
Be observant. Always be looking for a model to present itself. When you are looking at the world remember to look for the small shots. Some of my best photos are close up shots. You can make a whole landscape from up close shots of small things. And most importantly, have fun!!!
