This photo was taken in my hometown Strand. A very beautiful but also busy town. It has a lovely beach and plenty of areas for some great seascape photography.Time
It was just before 19h00 in the evening on a very warm summers evening. There was no wind that night and the beach was packed with people and their dogs enjoying the cool air of the ocean.Lighting
This time of the year we are already past springtime and don't normally get nice cloud cover for those amazing seascape sunsets. I had to scout for some nice foreground interest and luckily found this body of water and I knew I can make this work for some amazing backlight. Creating this wonderful reflection.Equipment
This was taken with my Nikon D3300 with an 18 - 55mm Nikkor lens. Manfrotto tripodInspiration
Doing landscape photography as a hobby and working full time can be a challenge sometimes, especially when you see that there will be an amazing sunrise or sunset. During the week it is especially a rush especially to find a good composition. I managed to find a great foreground and wanted to make good use of the suns position. I snapped a few photos of people walking by, but I was hoping for someone with a dog. To my great joy, a person and her dog managed to walk passed and I happily captured this shot.Editing
I was still pretty new to post-processing. Unfortunately looking back at this photo I realize I overdid it. I used Lightroom to adjust the contrast, highlight, shadows, whites and blacks. Used the lens correction tool and did some colour grading. In my camera bag
At the moment I only have my Nikon D3300 with the stock 18 - 55mmDX, 55 - 200mmDX and an older 70 - 300mm I got as a presentFeedback
Be in the moment that you are and take in what you are seeing. Enjoy the landscape that is in front of you and do not rush the experience.
