i live in a town so small, it's so old that we still have this old swinging bridge that crosses the Little River. i live in Townsend, Tennessee in the heart of the Smokies. my husband came from these mountains along with everyone in his family before him... and, i came from their foothills in Knoxville, Tennessee. i moved to the Smokies as a teenager and, this is where we've raised our kids. the Smokies aren't the largest mountains in the world but, they're the oldest and, in my opinion, the wisest. they become a part of your soul..ask the millions of people who've quit their jobs, sold their homes, and moved their families here after a single day in Cades Cove..a little valley over the hill from my house. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited park in the United States and, rightfully so.
