there's an amazing display of sunflowers each year in Knoxville, Tennessee. at one of our states protected areas, the wildlife management guys plant these giant rolling fields of sunflowers. they do it for the birds...how about that? so cool. i swear it will take your breath right out of your body when you round the corner and see the first field. if your stand in the flowers completely still, you see birds like this making a meal out of these beautiful, giant flowers that have "it's summer!" written all over them. what a great place!
