Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at "the marmots mountain" (la montagne aux marmottes), a wildlife park in "Hautes-alpes" in France, a zoo with marmotts, fox, wolf, eagle, vulture...

Time

I took this shot at around 1 pm, it was hot, and the fox was put in the shade to nap.

Lighting

Just a few sunbeams shone through the trees, it was partly hidden behind a rock to sleep, there was a noise behind me and he opened this eyes.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon 6D and a Canon EF100-400 mm mk1.

Inspiration

the quietude of the fox, the sunlight through the trees, it formed a beautiful set.

Editing

Juste a little of "vibrance" and a crop to to highlight the scene.

In my camera bag

my bag is heavy, I always go with all the material (apart from the tripod and filters, Lighter things), there is therefore the Canon 6d body, 3 lenses : Canon 17-40, Canon 50mm 1.8 and the heavy Canon 100-400 mk1, there also extension tube for macro (with both 50mm and 100-400), and 2 flashs.

Feedback

in this example it was relatively easy because I was in a wildlife park, the animal was placed in the perfect area, I had to just adjust the operture and speed, and shot, now, try to remake in its natural environment.
