Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a cruise in back in my hometown of Kirkwood Missouri a few years ago. If I remember right I was in town talking to my doctor and getting ready to have my second open-heart surgery. I had only been shooting a couple of years when I took this, so I was pretty new to photography.

Time

This was taken just before sunset on a Friday evening. I don't remember much else, like I said this was a few years ago.

Lighting

Just natural light, nothing special was done.

Equipment

I used my Canon XTi but not sure what lens was used.

Inspiration

The 57 Chevy Bel Air is one the most sought-after cars in the world. So snapping this photo was a no-brainer really. I just tried to get a shot that was unique and not one you see every day.

Editing

Yes I did do some post-processing, but what I did exactly I don't remember.

In my camera bag

These days I shoot on a Canon T3i, which I'd like to upgrade one day. I have a Canon 18-55, Canon 28-80, Canon 75-300, Yongnuo 50mm lens. I also have a Canon AE-1 with a few lens and a Sony NEX-F3 with no lenses currently.

Feedback

Just walk around the vehile you're shooting, and see if any angle looks good. All cars are different in how they should be photographed.
