Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at Starved Rock State Park, Illinois. I was visiting there with my daughters and my Dad.

Time

This picture was taken late morning. One of my favorite times of the day to take pictures is morning. The sun touches everything and it looks new and fresh each day.

Lighting

The light was shining down over the waterfall and creating a beautiful glow inside of the cave.

Equipment

I used a Canon camera, no flash.

Inspiration

We were standing by the waterfall and I felt so peaceful, I wanted to capture the moment to keep the memory.

Editing

The picture was beautiful in itself, but I did use Photoshop to enhance the coloring of the moss.

In my camera bag

I carry light, so I usually only have my camera, no fancy equipment.

Feedback

My thoughts when taking pictures is never to try and take a perfect picture, but capture the moment. Pictures that show emotion and and depth are far more beautiful than the perfect pose.
