I found myself having to stay over in Seattle on a Friday night after a work engagement went long, so setting in my hotel room in Bellevue I thought I could salvage the weekend by taking the day Saturday for a little photography before I flew out. I decided I would like to photograph Mount Rainier at sunrise. So I got up at 2 am and started driving to make sure I would be high on the mountain before the sun rose. It was a glorious day of rain forests, waterfalls and spectacular mountains. Not long after sun up I stumbled across this scene and spent an hour trying to get it just right.
