The ocean was unbelievably calm this summer evening when I shot this at the Long Beach, California marina. The mercury lights of the Long Beach port operations lite up the humidity laden air a bright orange which was reflected in dark hues in the calm marina waters along with the boats and masts. In the background you can make out the QE2 which is now a floating museum. The row of palms around the marina boundary complete the colorful and glossy scene.
