Hosier lane in the Melbourne CBD is a perfect example of the blend of both loud colours and quiet stillness when experienced at the early hours of the morning before the sun rises. I feel however that there are no places that are truly silent as even complete silence will still speak volumes. All we can hope to do is quieten the noise and minimise the distractions so that we can hopefully find some sense of quiet amongst the noise of our surrounds.
