The Lilacbreasted Rollers are one of the prettiest birds in the African bush. But as you can see also voracious hunters, feeding on all sorts of grashoppers, wasps, bees, beetles and in this case a White Scorpion. It was interesting to see how they know how to handle the stinger in the tail. Holding it close to the stinger this one swung the Scorpion around until the stinger fell off...and then enjoyed a well deserved lunch!
