I took this photo from the eastern side of my porch, high in the Catskills Mountains of New York.Time
It was sunrise when the early morning fog covers the valley below, contrasting with the colors of the sky. It was wonderful photographic opportunity.Lighting

As this photo was a serendipitous capture, my advice can only be to be alert to situations where some unique opportunity will arise and hope that you will be there to capture it. Obviously, having a camera easily available is vital.
