Catskill farms come back to life in the Spring

It is Blackberry season in the Catskills.

I saw this bright orange flower in my meadow, looked it up in my Wildflower book and saw it is called Butterfly-Weed. I went back with my camera and a

Location

This photo was taken at the edge of my meadow in upstate New York.

Time

It was taken in mid-afternoon as I was walking around my property and the bench,which has been there forever, suddenly appeared to me as a perfect photographic image.

Lighting

It was a clear,perfect, summer day and the sun was moving westward.

Equipment

iPhone 6

Inspiration

A spur of the moment inspiration which can happen when a familiar object becomes a special image.

Editing

Just minor cropping.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my Canon Powershot S100 but as I hadn't planned on photographing, I only had my iPhone.

Feedback

The best advice I can give is to always be aware if even the most ordinary objects, views, sites, that you commonly see can become a great subject.
