Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in my garden, where this little spider was in hunt was small insects early during the day.

Time

It was just after early morning I had taken this image.

Lighting

The bright early morning light was straight into the spider eyes that lit up this image fabulously.

Equipment

Canon EOS 60D, Canon 100mm f/2.8L, No Flash

Inspiration

Jumping spiders are always a treat to watch. They are very agile and very aggressive insects which feed on small insects and have great pairs of eyes. When we actually watch them close from a macro lens, we can see their real beauty and this image showcases the same.

Editing

No major post-processing done, except the contrast and mild sharpness correction done.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 60D, Canon 100mm f/2.8L, Canon 300mm f4, Canon 50mm 1.8

Feedback

Keep a watch on the angle of incidence of the light on to your subject. Getting a catch light in your subject is the best thing to have in your image.
