Seemingly a portal to another dimension, I believe it only shows its power when it not seen and not needed,or needed in exceptional circumstances...such is life. Besides,who knows where it really leads to anyways,and do you even want to know or risk going there? Is the keeper's decision of passage based on protecting the other side of this doorway from harm? Or is it a simpler answer... like for instance... to protect us from the other side?
