I took this photo at Alki beach Washington. I'm a self taught photographerTime
This was around 10pm during July. My friends and I went to the beach to attempt some light painting and this is the end resultsLighting
Long exposure photos are the best way to do light painting. You can use simple lights like you're phones light to draw.Equipment
Nikon d5200, 18-55mm kit lens, tripod, and my phones light to draw.Inspiration
My inspiration really came from just wanting to try something new. My friend was the one that actually did the heartbeat. I was the one taking the photo and editing.Editing
Yes of course I did. The light from the phone was a little to bright originally. The sky wasn't as purple but it was a weird night. Sharpness and clarity always help photos (in my opinion)In my camera bag
Nikon D7000, Tripod, 18-55 3.5f kit lens, 50mm 1.8f film lens, 70-200mm 2.8f film lens, 55-70mm 2.8f and two lightsFeedback
Whatever you write will be backwards, so practice beforehand. Don't be upset if it doesn't turn out the first time.
