On assignment at Kennedy Space Center to capture the Final Flight of the STS-132.

STS-132 was launched from the Kennedy Space Center on 14 May 2010. The weather couldn't have been better and the launch was perfect! The power was tremendous!

Space shuttle Atlantis launched on its final planned mission to deliver an Integrated Cargo Carrier and a Russian-built Mini Research Module to the International Space Station. STS-132 was the 32nd mission for Atlantis.

Interestingly, STS-132 was initially scheduled to be the final flight of Atlantis, provided that the STS-335-STS-135 Launch On Need rescue mission would not be needed. However, in February 2011, NASA declared that the final mission of Atlantis and of the Space Shuttle program, STS-135, would be flown regardless of the funding situation.

Either way, I was there to capture one of the final launches of the Shuttle program prior to it being dismantled. True wonders of technology!
