Thank you to all the photographers that shared their best photos showing big mechanical objects in the Large Machines Photo Contest with chances to win an Amazon Echo and more!

A special thanks to our friend and professional photographer Lorenz Holder for his collaboration as a guest judge in this photo contest: "I grew up in Munich, close to the Bavarian mountains, and it is those mountains that have always played a major role in my life. I was fascinated by photos that could describe a whole scene, a whole story or even a whole day, in just one small moment caught on film. This fascination was one of the biggest motivations for me to start my career as a professional photographer. Right now I work as senior photographer for Pleasure Snowboard Magazine and as a staff photographer for Nitro Snowboards."

Grand Jury Winner

"This photo is the winner of the competition. It has a great composition and it was executed perfectly - good framing and shot at the right time. It gives the viewer something to think about - what’s the story behind the shipwreck.. Also the long exposure time gives the image a nice dreamy background. Excellent work!" - Lorenz Holder

Runner Up

"Well deserved 2nd place! A great image with great symmetrical architecture and and really huge machine. One step more to the right, to make the image a 100 % symmetric - and there would be a tie on the leaderboard. But nevertheless a very well executed photo!" - Lorenz Holder

Runner Up

"This image just got me right away. The composition in combination with the wide-angle-lense just gives this machine so much power and drama. Also the details with the tracks in the sand make this image very special. A well deserved third place!" - Lorenz Holder

Amateur Winner

People's Choice

"Everything is perfect, but somehow my eye was always looking for a bit more room at the rocks in the foreground." - Lorenz Holder
