This photo was taken after a long weekend of dancing, excitement, drama, hours of driving, and an overwhelming amount of stress. It was during the weekend where my friend, Valerie, and I were tossed back and forth between tasks and problem solving situations that got the both of us to the point of ripping some hairs off of the top of our skulls. We were at a dance festival where we she was either instructing, coordinating, practicing, or performing, and I was either taking pictures, making transactions, retrieving my stolen items, or any other tasks that involved my presence. However, we were greatly successful in our endeavors as we spent a good amount of our time calming each other down throughout the days. After driving back home to LA from Palm Springs, we decided to randomly stop by a city park just to relax. No cares, no worries, no thought to what will come next. For reason I decided to take me camera and take pictures of the ducks floating on the lake, or squirrels running around the grass. But as I was doing this, I noticed my friend just laying down on the uncut grass alongside the lake looking very relaxed and stress-free. I took up a spot right next to her. She didn't notice me take pictures of her as she was too busy taking in the nature all around her. It wasn't after a few shots in that she looked at me and just smiled. I didn't have to take any more pictures after that. We stayed laying about the park until we decided to go back to society a few hours later.
