Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in the UK while taking a walk in Hockley Woods on a rather cloudy day.

Time

It was near 11:00 am.

Lighting

I liked how the clouds made every single branch clearly visible. On a sunny day you probably would not be able to notice most of them.

Equipment

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL Aperture: 11/1 ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/320 Focal Length: 18/1

Inspiration

I usually take pictures of the paths in the woods but while looking up to see the clouds I just loved the leafless branches reaching up to the sky.

Editing

I am self taught so i am always looking for new things and found an effect on a website called the Orton Effect and so used Photoshop and applied it to this image and i was happy with the outcome of the trees looking like they are almost glowing.

In my camera bag

I don't carry any fancy gear all i carry is a Canon EOS 400D Digital camera, an 18-55mm Lens and a 28 -80mm Lens.

Feedback

Just keep your head held high and you can see many different sights.
