I have made exactly a similar shoot ten years ago. Prague is a wonderful city. I agree the use the high contrast who define perfectly the geometry of the building.

Location
The "Dancing House" (Tan?ící d?m) aka "Ginger and Fred" is a very famous landmark of Prague, the Czech Republic capital. It is build on the riverside of the Moldava river, not far from the city centre. You can read more about the building in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_HouseTime
It was a hot and sunny summer day's afternoon, August 2015. The Dancing House was one of the things I absolutely wanted to photograph, so we waited 'till we had the "perfect day" for some shots.Lighting
It was the perfect moment, good light with sun behind my shoulders, some cloud in a deep blue sky. I couldn't hope a better situation.Equipment
I took this one with my main camera, Nikon D60, with the standard 18-55 lens, no lens, no tripod. With optimal lighting and with the use of a good Raw developer I can manage to get excellent images.Inspiration
As I said before, the Dancing House is world famous building. Being passionate about architecture it was a "must" I could not miss.Editing
Obviously I did the usual light, contrast and colours post-processing but the main issue is that this is a composite image, build up from two distinct shots stitched together using Microsoft's Image Composite Editor. One more word about the Raw processing software I'm using: DxO Optics it's really a good piece of software, it's easy to use and it offers a very powerful digital noise reduction feature which, with the "noisy" sensor of my D60, it's a true blessing. In my camera bag
Now I use regularly a Nikon D60 with its stock 18-55 lens. As a second lens I always bring with me an old (more than 30 years...) 300 mirror lens, really not a modern one :-) but I can manage to get some good shots with it. Not in my bag (it doesn't fit...) but in my car I carry also a tripod, in the case of night shots. Last but not least, when I don't have with me the main equipment I use my cell phone (now a Huawei Y360, in other moments a Samsung Galaxy).Feedback
When you plan a trip, whether abroad or only in the town next to yours, study which are the most notable landmarks, document yourself about local monuments and history.
