Location
I took this photo when we were visiting the Australian Reptile Park on the Central Coast of NSW, AustraliaTime
This was taken around the middle of the day. We had stopped to have lunch and the lorikeets came and sat on another table close to us. They were quite still and just watching us.Lighting
As it was the middle of the day, the sun was out and shining in-between the vast number of trees at the park. The lorikeet sat in just the right spot with the sun on it. This was great for lighting up the bright colours the lorikeets have.Equipment
I would have used my Canon 760D, and my canon 100-400mm lens. Great to have on me so that I could zoom in as close as I could.Inspiration
I love taking photos of nature, animals, etc. So when animals/birds get close I take the opportunity to capture what I can.Editing
Yes, only minimal though. A bit of cropping to focus on the subject and a bit of editing to adjust the colours. In my camera bag
I carry with me in a smaller camera bag my Canon 6D mark ii, my 24-105mm lens, Canon 100-400mm lens, and canon 100mm lens, spare battery, spare SD cards, lens wipes/cleaners.Feedback
Always be on the lookout, observe and just be ready. Think about how you edit, composition, etc, what you're trying to show in the photo and this will make your photo look great.
