It was shot around midday crossing the bridge that day on my way to shoot a festival.Lighting
When i was crossing the bridge i saw this really cool clouds over the river, and it was quite hard light as it was midday so i got lots of nicw contrast in there as well.Equipment
I shot this with a canon 7D and a canon 10-22 mm lens that i was carrying aroubd my neck that day.Inspiration
This is a classic tourist shot in this town, and i have taken loads of them, but on this day the light and clouds were just perfect.Editing
For post processing i use Lightroom and then Photoshop. This image did not need a lot of work ,as it was great just from the camera, a bnw conversion, contrast and some dodging and burning did the trick.In my camera bag
Right now i try to keep it light even though i like having gear avaliable. So nowdays a 30mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, 17-55mm f2.8 and a 70-200mm f2.8. I like that combo as I have lots of range and fast lenses for bokeh or low light situations.Feedback
The best advise is to go out and shoot something every day, does not matter what you shoot, i try to take at least one picture that i think is good every day, edit it and post it. It forces me to go out and think creatively and to constantly improve . For this specific shot I knew the place well,shot there many times before. I just shot it when the light and weather was perfect for this kind of shot.
