A few mornings ago I captured the original image, then playing with height adjusted the vertical scale by 200 %, just for fun, then replaced the rider on horseback to create the illusion of reality. Indeed, if the mountains were 45 000 feet tall... anyway this is just a fun landscape of our Drakensberg Mountains at dawn and i like it.

Great shot the composition is spot on and I like the way your colors stayed realistic but still grabs your eye. I know you recreated this image from your description but it maintains realism. The only part for me that lost some was the horse and rider, it has a certain silhouette that doesn't match the lighting but no big deal.

I like this although I'm not one for edits other than the normal stuff. You did create a nice picture here.

I took the original pictures about fifteen minutes after sunrise in early winter 2016Lighting

Canon EOS 600D, EFS 18-55 mm lens and tripodInspiration
The weather forecast predicted cloud with occasional rain squalls, and knowing this view which rises towards the East, which had a herd of beef cows on the pastures, the colours of early winter and well positioned trees in the distance against the backdrop of these mountains, I wanted more than anything to capture sunrise looking east. When the sun burst through the cloud and bathed the mountains in light I took a range of pictures.Editing
The panorama was first stitched from seven individual takes, and then the mountain range selected and stretched vertically. The horseman was then selected from one of the original photographs and pasted into the scene on the left so as to be riding into the scene. Final edits included saturation and lighting to reduce the exposure of the sky. I was seeking a “Lord of The Rings” effect. In my camera bag
