Breathtaking!!! Love the contrast of the lighter walls against the angry sky and the dark steep mountainside. Where is this? I know it's not Neuschwanstein!! Looks like a castle out of a fairy tale

Thanks a lot!! It’s called Lichtenstein castle! I visited Neuschwanstein, Lichtenstein and Hohenzollern castle on this day :) all three are worth it :)

I have actually visited this place in 1988 during a family stay I had with a host family while touring Germany. Of our 15 day trip, we stayed with a family for 6 days and spent 9 touring sites around the country. Beautiful photo!

Location
At castle Lichtenstein, in Southwest Germany.Time
Around normal daytime, had been lucky of an incoming storm.Lighting
I did a long exposure shot with filters, to get an even more dramatic sky.Equipment
Sony A7II + 16-35 f4Inspiration
The castle itself was inspriation enough =)Editing
about the post: i combined the long exposure with a short exposure to get the leafes and the tree on the left sharp. In my camera bag
Sony A7RII + Sony 16-35 2.8 GM + Sony 55 1.8 + Tripod + DJI Mavic Pro + a bunch of filters =)Feedback
I would try to do long exposure shots whenever possible, grab a ND1000 filter for daytime and just go for it! Moving clouds will always create a bit dramatic mood.
