I took this photo in Manarola which is part of the Cinque Terre in Italy .Time
Right after the blue hour, when the first stars appeared.Lighting
I did one exposure for the City and another for the sky behind the village to prevent light pollution.Equipment
Sony A7II + Samyang 14mm 2.8 + Zeiss 16-35 of course on a Tripod to get 30second exposures.Inspiration
This place is an inspiration in itself, it's so beautiful and you have tons of possibilities to change your angle. Most people stood on the walking path, i went over the rail and down to the rocks. An amazing place for compositions but maybe dangerous on stormy days.Editing

Just shoot everything in raw. This was one of my biggest mistakes when i started. It's amazing what you can get out of some old raw files you didn't like at first =) I think the best thing in this image is the composition and the light mood. Make sure you check out many angles before you start shooting. Usually i walk along every place to find my compo, then i take pictures with my phone to have a quick comparison. When i found my perfect place, i stood there for about 2 hours, to catch many different light conditions.
