Ok, so this was taken on the South-West coast of Africa (Walvis Bay, Namibia to be precise). I stood on top of a dune to do this, so one side was the ocean and the other side hundreds of miles of dunes and desert as far as the eye could see, making me feel very very insignificant in the grand scheme of life.
I normally don't like or do colour popping, but in this case it worked for me. I wanted a degree of separation from the colour of the sand with which the crystal was resting on to the colour of the scene inside the ball.
It's kind of a weird shot, but I like it all the same. I'm sure it will be a marmite moment for most though.

Love it! Bet you had a hard time deciding whether to have it upside down or right side up...I've just been turning my computer back and forth...they're both awesome! Nicely done!
