I really like the shallow depth of field in this image. If you don't mind some constructive idears, it might be a little more dramatic if you cloned out the white petals in the bottom right corner. Once noticed, they drag the eye away from the yellow flower in focus. Still like the image though...

Great Practice photo and welcome to Viewbug joebejjany! The most diffulcult thing on flower pics for me is where the acutal focus ends up. You probably didnt intend to have the green stem part as the sharpest part of the picture. Keeping the same composition try using the alternate reticual positions to make sure the focus is where you want it to be. And of course take a lot of shots for comparison. Good work I look forward to seeing more!
