I arrived at the Tour Of The Gila Bike Race to capture some live action sport photos for my gallery and out of 1,875 shots in one afternoon this one turned out to be the best. This un-edited photo does not scream “Live Sport Action” but does have such a subtle coming together of so many components that it has my eyes searching the entire scene, these features stand out for me:
*The yellow curb complimenting his racing colors
*The shadow thanks to a bright New Mexico sun seems perfectly outlined and enhancing the composition
*The blue sky and the road surface seem to depict how in photo composition to use “The Rule Of Thirds”
*I love how the rider fills the frame yet the other components are in focus and help create a story image
*The street light is on green.
