Location
I was wait my aircraft in London to go to United state for a trip in Harley Davidson around all the canyons in the west . I cannot stand to use my camera and took pictures around me . I love aircraft becaus I worked in aircrafts for 30 years .Time
We were in the afternoon , and the light was really clear , but I love night mood and decided to have a hard post processing on this picture .Lighting
The light was not what I wanted it to be, I decided to turn the day into night, which gives a more romantic feel of the trip .Equipment
I had not tripod , This is not a good idea in an airport because of security. Use a tripod look suspicious........Inspiration
I've spent my life in airplanes and finally now I think that I've not done enough pictures of this period. Living things in everyday life, we forget about the beauty and interest. Now that it is more difficult for me to travel, I take time to look around me.And an airplane,t is so beautiful and magical !!!, this huge mass able to fly and still impressiveEditing
Since I wanted to turn my image from day to night image, I worked on lightroom. First lower the exposure, then rework every detail to give the impression of night light. For example turn on the lamps with a higher exposure and some yellow. Then work on the shadows.In my camera bag
Most of time I take only my camera, 2 batteriesand a light bag . A heavy bag is always a problem if you have to walk a lot .I take also my compact flash in spare.I only carried a tripod if necessary.,and another camera lens if I think I need it .I also have a wide angle , but I do not use it for the scenery, I think that too flattened image except of course in some cases.I still also have a notebook and a pen to take notes .I usually let my battery charger in the hotel , my extra batteries enough for the day. The goal , always limit the weight because of my back problem , if I walk too long with too heavy material it spoils my pleasure to photo.Il the need to feel free and comfortable to make good pictures. I still also have a small compact in spare in case of failure .Feedback
Being in the right place at the right time and imagine what can make this image. First think about the result before taking the picture.
