This shot was made in the daytime. It doesn't really matter since the lighting is not from the sun, but two studio flashes.Lighting
I experimented with different light settings until I finally ended up with one studio light slightly from behind on one side and one from the opposite side.Equipment

The gerbera daisy is one of my favorite flowers. It comes in many, colors and is big enough to stand on its own. One single flower is often enough to make a great image.Editing
I added two digital textures which I removed parts of to bring out the true color of the flowers.In my camera bag
I carry as little as possible. I want to cut down on the choices of which lenses to use and rather focus on working with one lens at the time. It makes me concentrate more on the object I'm about to shoot as well as the result instead of the gear.Feedback
Start with few flowers and items, experiment a lot and then add a few more elements to the arrangement if you think it adds to the photo.
