Location
This photo was taken in my neighbor's beautiful backyard.Time
It was taken at around 4:30 am, just before sunrise.Lighting
I used a couple of small flashlights, a laser level, and LED light to light the plants and wall in the background. Then of course the light from the steel wool added a nice effect.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T3i, Lens EFS 18-55mm. Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I had always wanted to try spinning steel wool, this photo is in the first series of this type of technique for me.Editing
The only thing I did was adjust the color a bit, to bring out the blue of the sky.In my camera bag
Everything... Two other cameras, lenses, flash unit, monopod, macro lenses, and lens cleaning supplies.Feedback
Be patient, try different settings and angles. Use your imagination, experiment and have fun.
