Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the Kansas City zoo a few years ago. I took this picture with a Kodak easy share camera. This indoor open and "natural" environment allows people to freely walk about to view the penguins. This is an original shot. No editing of any kind was used.

Time

This was taken mid day in the early fall season.

Lighting

The lighting was indoors with lots of windows and glass

Equipment

I used a Kodak easy share camera. This small camera is around 10 years old.

Inspiration

I have always loved animals and nature in its fullest. If I see something interesting, that catches my eye, I will take pictures of it.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

I don't have a bag. The camera is enclosed in a green zipper case. I hope to upgrade to a nice quality camera.

Feedback

If you see it, take a picture. Always take more than one. Experiment as much as you can with different options on the camera (black and white, sharpness, night vs. day time, flash vs. no flash. I remember taking my first pictures with "real film" when I was very young. It was one of those rectangular cameras, with just a button to take the pictures. It was about the same time that they made disposable cameras. Even if you don't think a picture is good, keep it anyway. If you are passionate about photography, find a way to pursue your interest (books, classes, and help from friends and family.
